The colors for these earrings were inspired by a painting in the Salvador Dalí museum we visited in Figueres, an hour long train ride outside of Barçelona.
A black stain is mixed into the clay to create a charcoal color.
The lines are glazed and the middle line is painted with a kiln-fired 22k gold luster.
The difference in the glazed and unglazed surfaces creates a beautiful contrast.
The ear hooks are 14k gold-filled.
